Built for the local church,
by people who love it.
Technology in service of the local church — started by two people who couldn't stop thinking about how much better it could be, and built by a team who feels exactly the same way.
How it started
Two founders.
One Saturday morning
at a time.
Rohn Gibson and Mike Kurrle met at a Christian curriculum company in northwest Iowa. Both had marketing agency backgrounds. Both saw the same problem: churches had a mandate to reach their communities but were spending more time fighting their tools than doing ministry.
They believed the local church deserved better. So they spent more than a year working their day jobs while building ChurchSpring on early Saturday mornings. In 2012, they launched.
More than a decade later, ChurchSpring serves thousands of churches across North America — still 100% private, completely debt-free, and just as passionate about the local church as we were on day one.
Jesus is the hope of the world — and the local church is what He established to carry that hope to every corner of it. We built ChurchSpring to make sure every congregation, no matter how small, has the tools it needs to go make disciples.

Why We Exist
“ChurchSpring exists to help local churches thrive by making technology a tool for discipleship, not a distraction from it.”
Living the mission
Guided by the Great Commission
Matthew 28:18–20 isn't just a passage we hang on the wall — it's the framework behind every feature we ship. Everything maps to one of three ideas.
Reach
Your website and mobile app are your church's front door. We build tools that make it effortless for someone to find your church, learn your story, and show up on Sunday.
Teach
Discipleship happens in community. Our groups platform, media libraries, messaging tools, and event coordination give your congregation places to grow together in the Word.
Send
The goal was never a full building — it's a sent people. Communication tools, giving systems, and prayer platforms help your church equip members to go and do the same.
Why it matters
We answer to churches,
not investors.
Many of the biggest church software companies are owned by private equity firms or publicly traded corporations. That changes everything — pricing, support staffing, product direction. We've never had that pressure, and we never will. Being fully private and debt-free means every decision we make starts with one question: what's best for the church?
No outside investors
We've never taken a dollar of outside investment. That means no board telling us to cut support staff, raise prices, or chase features churches don't actually need.
Completely debt-free
We grow because churches love what we build — not because a lender is demanding it. That makes us patient, principled, and immune to the pressure to cut corners.
No exit strategy
No acquisition plans. No exit strategy. Just a team committed to serving the local church for the long haul.
What we believe
Commitment & Values
Exalt Christ
Phil. 2:9-11; Rev. 19:16; 1 Peter 3:22, Rom. 11:36
We strive to magnify Christ above all else. He is to be exalted above all rulers and authorities. We believe there is no other worthy of our devotion and worship.
Love One Another
John 13:34; 1 John 4:7, 11, 21; 2 Cor. 5:14-15
We exalt Christ as Lord of all by loving one another. Motived by the Love of God, we pursue the lost and proclaim the kingdom. In the same way that the Father loved us by sending his Son, we are called to love each other in the same manner.
Heart of Service
Matt. 20:28; Col. 1:28-29; John 11:52; Matt. 16:18-19
We are committed to having a posture of service and give our time, talent, and treasure to serve others.
Integrity
Prov. 10:9; Prov. 11:3; Matt. 5:37
Jesus was full of grace and truth. Therefore, we are to extend grace and truth to others. We stand by our word and are obligated to mean every "yes" or "no" that comes out of our mouths. Integrity leads to stability and trustworthiness.
Grace Saturated
Eph. 4:29
We have no basis to boast about anything we have for everything is a gift of God's grace. Therefore, everything we do and say must be saturated with grace to build others up in Christ.
Gospel Centered
2 Cor. 2:15-17
When we reflect Christ's love on earth, we not only proclaim the Gospel but also participate in displaying the Gospel as a light to the nations.
